Ibec's Workplace Choir commenced as a Covid wellbeing initiative to bring colleagues together online. Their first time singing together in person was on the morning of their performance in the Workplace Choir Competition in 2022. They have competed in every competition since then and they are very proud to be the sponsors of the competition. Hybrid rehearsals commence in February and are run from the Dublin office with regional colleagues joining online with microphones muted. Despite the technical glitches that can ensue, the aim of the choir is achieved - to support everyone's wellbeing, to join together as a collective, and to enjoy each other’s' company. Judith Lyons is their founding conducting and is now considered part of the Ibec family. The spirit of the choir is passed down through the years, through varying levels of membership, and the choir’s existence is now an integral part of what Ibec is.
