Arrive as colleagues, leave as a choir. We can get everybody singing!

Now in its fourth year, Choirworks returns in 2024, offering either in-person or online sessions, and the opportunity to compete in the Ibec Workplace Choir of the Year Competition!

There has been much research around the health benefits of singing for both mental and physical health and well-being. Music has the potential to play a more active role in achieving a good work-life balance.

Finding new ways to engage with colleagues is increasingly important! Through the introduction of music lessons, choir workshops and team-building projects, “Choirworks” embraces the power of music to encourage collaboration, creative thinking and better mental and physical wellbeing in your workplace.

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to see a friendly face, have some fun singing together at the end of a long work day, and reconnect with colleagues in a social setting?

No prior singing experience is required to take part in Choirworks – We’ll take everyone from singing in the shower to singing on a stage! Your company will be assigned a choir leader who will put the singers through their paces.

During the course of 12 sessions, your staff will learn two songs that will be performed at the Ibec Workplace Choir of the Year Competition during the festival weekend. Your company will compete against other workplace choirs on the prestigious stage of Cork City Hall, one of the most attractive and acoustically superb venues in Ireland.
