Our school Choir is made up of boys and girls from first to 6th Class.St Fin Barre's National School has been providing primary education since the seventeenth century. It is a small,mixed, inclusive school school on a site of rich historical importance being the point from which the city of Cork grew. We are fortunate to be located in an area which provides a wealth of education resources from the magnificent Cathedral of St Fin Barre to the University College whose motto “Where Fin Barre taught let Munster learn” underlines the importance of the area. St Fin Barre's National School take part in the Diocesan Church Music Scheme on a weekly basis. This means that Matthew Breen - Assistant Director of Music in St Fin Barre's Cathedral - visits the school once a week, where he teaches music theory and choir singing in the various class groups. The choir start the day with singing practice four days a week with The Director of Music in the Cathedral, Mr Peter Stobart.
