St. John's National School

Clare

St. John’s National School is located in the picturesque parish of Cratloe, nestled near the scenic Cratloe Woods. The co-educational school is home to 293 pupils. Music holds a central place in the school community, and the school choir, comprising boys and girls from 4th, 5th, and 6th classes, is a vibrant testament to this tradition. The choir operates under the musical direction of Mrs. Bernadette Kennedy.
Rehearsals are held twice a week before school, as well as twice during school hours. With a rich history of choral excellence, the choir actively participates in a variety of events throughout the year. Past performances include participation in the National Children’s Choir, visits to nursing homes to sing for residents, fundraising initiatives for organizations, and memorable performances at venues such as the Lime Tree Theatre and the University Concert Hall in Limerick. Last year, the choir performed at Bunratty Castle and Shannon Airport in December.

Dirigent: Bernadette Kennedy
