Music has been synonymous with St. Vincent’s Convent Primary School since the early 1930s when the records show the existence of not one, but two school orchestras! In keeping with that tradition, children are taught to play the recorder and singing is woven into daily life. The school musical Matilda in 2024 was a hugely successful venture. This year, the choir is under the baton of pianist, cellist, composer Méabh Fitzgerald. Under Méabh, they have performed in The North Cathedral and at the Blackpool Christmas Markets, along with many other performances in school.
