Ashton School Choir is currently comprised of students from first year to fifth year who rehearse three or four times a week in the mornings before the school day begins. Members are not auditioned and membership is open to all students of the school. The Ashton School Choir enjoys performing for the local school community at prize day and special assemblies throughout the school year.
In April 2024, the choir travelled to the Vox Lucensis Festival in Lucca, Italy, where they participated in two international choral workshops, friendship concerts and competed in the international competition winning a top level silver diploma. They are also past winners of the schools’ competition at the Cork International Choral Festival.
