Sing4Joy

Sing4Joy is a gospel choir founded in 2010 in Bulle, Switzerland, in the beautiful Gruyère region where the famous cheese comes from. We chose Sing4Joy as our name because the choir's primary goal is to bring joy all around us. We sing in various places, to share our music and our energy: churches, concert halls, hospitals, retirement residences, etc. We are a SATB choir that currently comprises 36 members, aged between 14 and 70. We sing all by memory without any sheet music. A part of our repertoire features upbeat tempos and rhythms, and another part of it is more calm and meditative. Sing4Joy has always wanted to be open to all styles of gospel music, which is why we sing both traditional and modern gospel as well as other songs that convey gospel values like peace, love, tolerance, and faith. We feel fortunate to have Mr Raphaël Sudan as a conductor and artistic director. Bursting with energy and n ever short of ideas, his life is seamlessly split between conducting, composing, teaching, and an international career as a pianist that has taken him to perform in public on five continents, in nearly 30 different countries. For all of us, music is a living art, an eternal restart, and a social enjoyment!
