Alma Choir

Alma is a newly-formed chamber choir based in Blackrock, Cork City. Founded in September 2024, the choir brings together a talented group of experienced choral singers and musicians. Alma performs a wide variety of music, from classical works and folk song arrangements to arrangements of popular music and gospel. Alma's conductor, Grace Bergin, studied conducting with Peter Erdei at the Kodály Institute and the Liszt Academy, Hungary and with Alan Cutts in Ireland. She was a participant on the inaugural NCH Female Conductor Scheme, and was the founder-conductor of the TU Dublin Operatic Society, where she conducted The Medium by Menotti, and Handel's Acis and Galatea. As a singer, Grace has performed with Anúna, Mornington Singers, the Irish Youth Chamber Choir, and was a Lay Vicar Choral in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin.
