Part 4 - Choral Gatherings

Enhance your festival experience by performing non-competitively at other festival events! If you would like to be considered for participation in any of the Choral Gatherings,  please indicate below:

Choral Trail

Join the Festival’s Choral Trail, where national and international choirs fill the city and county with song! Choirs will prepare a 15-minute programme of their choice. Due to space limitations at various venues, performances should be unaccompanied. If accompaniment is required, choirs must bring their own accompanist and instrument.

Sacred Trail

Festival choirs perform 4 to 5  pieces during local church services on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. While there’s no requirement to sing the main parts of the mass (Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, or Agnus Dei), pieces should be religious and/or spiritual in character.

Marina Market Stage

Cork's funkiest food & crafts market, the Marina Market is our latest festival addition. Choirs are asked to prepare a 15-minute programme of popular music. Due to space limitations at the venue, all pieces must be performed unaccompanied. If accompaniment is required, choirs must bring their own accompanist and instrument.

Afternoons in the Atrium

This is a popular event at the Clayton Hotel, Lapps Quay, offering entertaining performances by national and international choirs. Choirs will prepare a 9-minute programme of popular music, with a piano provided for accompaniment. It's a relaxed setting for families and festival-goers to enjoy the festival atmosphere.

Please include your repertoire details for the Afternoons in the Atrium (each choir can perform up to 3 songs for tot. max 9 minutes of actual singing).
