Cór Comáin is an upper voice choir, established in September 2017 by Choral Director, Derek Mahady. In March of 2024, Cór Comáin participated in the Arklow Music Festival and were awarded first prize in two categories. Cór Comáin offers public performances and recitals of choral music to raise funds for local charities. In 2019, the choir travelled to London and performed alongside two London choirs in St. Stephen’s Church Walbrook. On in May 2024 the choir travelled to Dresden, Germany, to sing in a shared concert with a choir in Dresden. This cultural exchange through singing enhanced the travel experience by fostering a connection between choirs. The German choir is travelling to Roscommon in a reciprocal gesture in October of this year.
