Os cantores de Wilcollane

The Wilcollane Singers is a female voice choir formed in January 1989 under the direction of Anne Dunphy. Since its foundation the choir has undertaken numerous performances and has distinguished itself at most of the major choral festivals and competitions throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe. In Ireland they have successfully competed in the Cork International Choral Festival, Limerick Church Music Festival, AIMS Choral Festival, New Ross, Kenmare Choral Festival and most recently the City of Derry International Choir Festival in October 2024. The choir has travelled to The Llandudno North Wales Choral Festival and international choral festivals in Jersey, Prague and Verona. In March 2011 the choir was invited to Boston U.S.A. to participate in the St Patrick’s Day Parade. They sang at various concerts there and also performed in the Federal Court Building at a function hosted by the Consul General. In November 2019 they participated in the Choral International Advent Singing Festival in Vienna and enjoyed performing at the Christmas markets there. The choir is conducted by Anne Dunphy and accompanied by Niamh Quigley
