Trinity College Singers were established in 1948 as a mixed voice chamber choir for Trinity College Dublin. Through the decades the group has evolved into a larger ensemble. They enjoy singing unaccompanied repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century. Alongside performances for the Trinity College community, the Singers compete regularly at a national level, winning silver in their category at the City of Derry International Choir Festival in October 2024. They also enjoy regular international tours, and have performed most recently in Paris, Budapest, and, in March of this year, in Edinburgh. Donncha McDonagh is a baritone and choral conductor from Dublin. He has sung with ensembles including Sestina, the Charles Wood Singers, and Christ Church and St Patrick’s Cathedral Choirs. He was a member of the inaugural Chamber Choir Ireland Studio 2023-24 and is a member of Genesis Sixteen this year. Donncha was conductor of Trinity College Dublin Chapel Choir from 2022-24, and was elected conductor of Trinity College Singers in 2024.
